A birthday gift
My mother in law is interested in more things than I am. It's embarrassing to say that, but her curiosity and personal drive are incredible.
Like many who don't spend their days wired into a machine, she enjoys technology but finds it more frustrating than it should be. My wife and I often talk about ways we could make things more accessible for people who don't need tools for work, they need tools for life.
Her ideas in that category are far better than mine, but this is a start. For my mother in law, on her birthday.
Dear Ma,
I can't keep up with all of your ideas, or your schedule, for that matter. You are an amazing human being, and I hope I can carry half your energy through my life.
I'm truly grateful to be a part of your family. If you choose to use this, it might help you go faster, but it will also memorialize the thousands of different things you look into every week: the way you think, what you want to do, and the ideas that make you, you.
